Not to thread jack but i can contribute
Mine were chrome, roughed them up with some medium grit sandpaper. Light coat of primer. 2 coats of satin black. Held up great for about a year now, no chips, and my tires throw junk at them all day long.

Love your runner man! The tg bumper looks nice on the stock height. Definatly a different look than most. Keep up the good work!

Thanks 2doorRunner. Didn't want to throw 100 bucks out on black mirrors. Did you do your grille too??

Yep. Looked amazing at first. Now its dulled down a little. Has a chip or two. But still looks good. Did the center of the grill and around the headlights charcoal grey. Thats been holding up fine.
A couple weeks after painting.

Are you thinking about painting the windsheild trim? I have been contemplating that. But cant decide if its worth it.

I love that area...its all dry now though...but still fun and not TOO far. It's a nice web of trails that not many people know about that's why I like it.

Some shots of my Pelican case. That I got for FREE.99!! One of my cousins got it from work and had no use for it...IN FACT HE WAS GOING TO THROW IT AWAY! It's great I love it. Big, heavy duty, removable foam cushions, lockable, and it's even water proof Not great pics...Get some better ones tonight.

cone is for work btw

Things In the case:

WD40
carb cleaner
regular tow strap
loop style tow strap
tow chain
small first aid kit
rags
gloves
hammer
hatchet
2 litters of water
rope
bungee chords
matches
duct tape
contractor garbage bags
Head lamp
batteries
Folding army issued shovel
tackle box with fuses, caps, clamps etc
bottle rockets (poor man emeregancy flares) just in case I guess

and I have MUCH more room in there if I remove the bottom foam piece, which is good because I would like some more gear.

I also carry a crate.

Things in the crate:

motor oil
radiator fluid
gas
wd40
grease gun (DO NOT IGNORE YOUR ZERK FITTINGS)
rag
Klein tool bag of basic hand tools

I also carry a full craftsman ratchet set.

This stuff never comes out of the truck. Fits nicely and gets strapped down. I use this stuff all the time, comes in handy a lot more then I though it would.

I use Peli's for work all the time and I LOVE them. I'm looking at 2 right now that have been all over the world, have been beat to heck, overloaded with 120+ pounds, and are still as solid as day one. All you ever have to do is push the pins back in the handles, and tighten the screws/bolts. I need to find a cheap one for my pickup now.
