The rig is much more stable cornering and it feels much tighter. I cant wait to see how of a difference the pan hard bushing makes.

Not yet, the exhaust shop has been booked. He said that he should be able to fit me in next week, I have decide to do only the cat back well I bought a new magnaflow 2 1/2" cat as well so everything from the cat back, for the time being, as I plan on the 1uz swap and don't want to pay for custom pipes only to replace them very soon. They are from Energy suspension.

Well, got some bad news. The headgaskets went. I was really suprised they did as I had good compression and the truck was running great. I went out to start it after picking my kid up from an after school activity and it started really rough and I pulled out onto main st. I made it about 4 blocks and then a huge cloud of white smoke from the exhaust. I stopped and opened the door to the sweet smell of antifreeze.

Need less to say I was planning a 1uz swap to take place in the next few years, however with this happening now the engine has taken priority. I am in the process of pulling the 3.0 motor and everything else with it out.

I think the motor is fine as I shut it down as soon as it happened, and I will most likely sell it as a core full loaded with alt, ps, and a/c compressor. I plan on pulling the R150F tranny and trasfercase out and running the auto with a T100 T case.

The AFM will get pulled, ecu ect. If anybody wants any of the stuff let me know. After the swap is complete I will sell all of it off.

Thanks, I hope so. I have sourced the T100 transmission and transfer case I will need for the swap. I hope that I end up with a complete car, but I may end up buying the motor and tranny from the wrecking yard.

Anywho, I will post up the build as it sets forward. Fortunantly I found another 94 4Runner that runs/looks/and drives like brand new. I picked it up last week just before my other 4runner died.

The new one has only 99,000 original miles and was owned by an older lady who drove it on sundays to go visit her family that lived about 1 hour away. She was the orginal owner and had the complete history of all paper work including the window sticker. It was listed on CL for about 2 hours before I went to look at it and I had to buy it just because it was so clean and I got it for alot less than she was even asking.

Thanks guys. When I bought it I didn't have a need for it just couldn't pass it up. If the price was right I might consider it. The price would have to be absolutly right for me to sell it as I am using it as my grocery getter now until I get my other Toy fixed.

If you are interested feel free to pm me about it...

Yes, yes I am. Ha Ha Ha

Ok, the 1uz I was looking at didn't pan out, but I will pick up the T100 tranny and T case on the 22 or 23. I put a deposit on it to hold it for me until I go and pick it up.

I also have had an opportunity to pick up a 2000 4runner. The clutch went out on it and the owner just wanted to get rid of it as he had until yesterday to get it moved or the owner of the property he stopped on would have it towed. He didn't have the cash to fix the clutch or pay for the tow bill.

He sold it to me for $800, it has the 3.4 with a 5 spd. Seem to be lucky lately on finding some 4runners.

Thanks Shaggy, I have spread some luck around, I found those plates for everybody to mount their trannies too now. Ha Ha, your rig is coming along nicely by the way. I was hoping that the LS400 I was looking at would work out, but the owner flaked out on me. Oh well, just gots to keep looking.

Yeah I have been so busy the last week and a half I have had no time to touch my runner. Have had side work out the kazoo. And I still have to finish up woo the rest before I can start back up on it again.
All I got left is some brakes an a power steering pump on a runner I put a tranny in last year. Reseal the 3.0 out of my runner an put it in a 90 pickup. A engine in a impreza. A wheel bearing on a Nissan. An a tranny in a civic. Man when it rains it pores.

Not a chance. Ha Ha, I sold it to my dad who wanted to get into the sport. He was wanting something to take to the mountains and do light trail riding and wanted something that was really reliable.

He should be happy with it.

The 1UZ is going into my playtoy
