waiting for my brother to send them to me, he was the photographer for the trip haha.
the trip went really well, did chinaman gulch and wheeler lake. truck ran great (got 22mpg on the way out) and never got hot, even at 12,000'! i guess i can finally put my efforts towards something besides the cooling system (shock towers, armor etc)

Nice score on the Miller! I want a 240v welder so bad, lol, I have a little 120v Lincoln wirefeed that I push to its limits. Sounds like you already have some good projects planned!

haha yea i've used my friends lincoln 100 quite a bit, really impressed me for a 110 but not quite enough power for the bigger stuff.

haha well yours look a little more complicated. i've got some 11" bilsteins that i had on the rear, gonna use them for a while till i can afford something better. not really sure what size i'll be able to fit until i get in there and start

well i didn't get very far last night, did some with the angle grinder but still have a lot to do before i can weld on the new stuff. according to my in initial measurements, the top mounting location will go up 3-4" depending on how productive i am with the sledge hammer but i'm going to avoid cutting. that should allow me to fit the 11" bilsteins and retain the same amount of uptravel as my old front shocks, which is what i was going for

thanks. yea its been a great reliable motor for me so i can't complain, honestly tho i'd probably do a 3.4 if i did it again. they fit a lot better and have a little more low-end. just my opinion tho

project is on hold for a few days while my roommate rebuilds the rear axle on his 3rd gen. i did get to mess around with the welder some, the autoset feature is amazing for the lesser experienced welders like myself.

shock hoop install:
i've had these in my garage for a couple years now, and apparently they're the smaller ones. i didn't want to cut into the fender but i wanted to clear 12" shocks while maintaining the same uptravel as my old ones.





i considered turning shock the tab around to face the tire, like "rustED" did, but in the end i ended up trimming bottom of the shock hoops so they would angle out more, and also extend the base a few inches
