I know I don't have the fenders on in the photo below, but this should give you an idea of how much clearance you'll have with the OME lift. I have 31x10.5 tires under OME springs with +2" shackles and I have more than enough clearance - I may even drop down to +1" or stock length shackles:

33x12.5 tires should fit with no problem on a OME lift with no modifications. Moving the axle forward isn't going to do much for you as OME springs are for stock hanger and axle locations. I would recommend installing the springs on your stock shackle and hanger locations to see what you have first and then go from there if you don't have enough clearance.

Yeah I hopefully will be putting it on within the next week or two. I'm gonna stick with the 32s I have right now for a little while and do 33s later.. I've had several tell me that I'll rub the firewall without moving my axle so I may drill my spring pad and ubolt plate forward 3/4" and run with it.

Right now it's looking like:
Medium OME springs up front with 1.5" longer shackles for another 3/4" of lift.
Chevy 63s in the rear with a shorter shackle to try and keep them about the same height ~3".
Also will be doing high steer.
12" Bilstein 5125s all the way around.
F250 shock towers
F&R U-bolt flips

Eventually:
33x12.5s
4.88s
F&R lockers
Chromo
Duals

I'm shooting for mildly built rig that will drive back and forth to work but will surprise ya on the trail.

I also am about to start cleaning it up also. Looking into gettin my seat reupholstered and new vinyl laid down. A good bedlining. New headliner. Also wanna make some diamond plate door panels and diamond plate dash pannels (where the radio and stuff it).

Have a big trip planned to Moab next May with a big group of guys from TW. I'm probably gonna get trailered though so I don't have to worry about my 34 y/o truck making the 27h drive.

How did those 89-95 OME rear springs fit? I heard that they actually fit and ride better than the 79-83 springs without any modifications because they as a couple inches longer and provide a better shackle angle.

There not a direct fit. I had to move my rear shackle hanger back around 2". They ride pretty nice, but you can tell they were designed for a heavier bed. They are a little stiff on small bumps, but when you nail a pothole running 60 it's like butter. Pretty nice.

I'm ditching them for Chevy 63's. They do not flex at all. I think I had more flex stock.

That is a setup I'm wanting to make, 63's at the back and ome at the front. Can you explain the hybrid setup at the front? Looks really good on the pics!

If your wanting OME fronts, I'll sell you mine for a really good price..

I replaced the top two OME springs with the top two rear springs then it's just the rest of the OME pack. I have another set of rear springs and I'm gonna put the OME pack back together and make a full RUF pack for the front. So if you want it then it'll be for sale in a few weeks. They might have 500 miles on them, the top two prolly only have 200 miles..

I'll sell you the rear 89-95 springs too.. They ride super nice, I just want more flex.

Dwill817, when you say you replaced the top two leaves up front with the top two leaves from the rear pack, are you saying you put the top two leaves from the new OME 89-95" pack onto the front?

I'm almost ready to hang my front axle, but I can't bolt the OME 79-83 rears up front with my boomerang shackle unless I cut the front of the body mount, or replace the top leaf(s) with something longer.

No from the old 79-83 pack. I'm about to go full RUF & Chevy 63's and sell the 79-83 OME's and rear 89-95 OME's to regain a little money back.

Um.. you have to worry about hitting the rear of the body mount not the front. You don't really need a boomerang shackle. I'm running the RUF springs on the stock hangers without boomerangs and don't hit the body mount, though I come very close at full stuff. A 79-83 rear OME RUF pack should be perfect considering they are notorious for being kinda short and causing a bad rear shackle angle. I bet they will flex like crazy and ride really well.

I'm going to get a Sky's High Clearance front hanger and move it about 1/2" forward to keep my regular shackle off the body mount and to get a little steeper of an angle. Going to do high steer at the same time.

Thanks man! Its not mint by any means, but slightly better than most! They are out there though so just keep looking and when you find one snatch it up and build it right! IMO there's nothing wrong with keeping it stock and nothing wrong with building it into a capable DD (what im shooting for) just as long as its done right and the heart of the Toyota stays.

I will never run a non-Toyota driveline component like axles, motor, tranny, transfer case. I actually feel kinda bad for wanting to do Chevy 63's lol..

I know the boomerang shackles are intended to clear the back of the body mount. If I had a straight shackle I could mount them fine. I got the boomerangs since they are supposed to be longer springs, but I also have no weight on the springs. I pulled the shackle all the way forward to mount them but it hits the front of the body mount before it reaches the springs. I have the shackles backwards now, but once I have weight on the truck I should be able to flip them.

You're truck is looking awesome btw.

Okay I understand. I wasn't trying to belittle you or anything. You just kinda confused me lol..

Here's what I would do: Bolt the springs to the axle, bolt the front of the springs up, then put a jack under the axle and lift it until you can get the shackle on. That's how I did mine and it went right in..

And thanks man! My progress is about to come to a screeching halt for the winter. Pretty much no work in the winter.. I will get my IFS hubs and IFS axle under there though. Already got most of it and anything else I need is pretty cheap.
