Great job dude and thanks for doing your part to save it!
I always find it depressing when guys with original beds and floor call their truck rusty!! I guess it's all relative Here in eastern quebec that truck would be considered almost mint and you could sell that bed for 1000$+ haha Good luck with the built, if you ever lose motivation because of rust go look at my build that should help you out lol!

Hey thanks gillesdetrail! Yeah me and my buddy that owns a body shop ( I have literally worked with on and off 20 years were looking at the bed the other day and I was just like man this thing is trashed and he laughed and said well you know we have restored vehicles with WAY more rust than this thing has. and I said yes but we were getting paid LOL That's when I realized that even if I did have to restore the whole bed if I couldn't find one is that The finished product would be the big payoff for me!

Well didn't get much done this weekend with lawn mowing and football starting up but did get the drag link tightened up on it so far its doing great so I will save the rebuild kit for a later date when I need it. But on the upside my new corner lenses came in the mail today so now I can get the grill and headlight buckets out and get them cleaned up and painted.

Have not had the chance to do much in a while been very busy but was on my way home from work yesterday and spotted something red that looked like a yota truck behind a mans house yesterday so I stopped and asked him what it was and sure enough it was a straight axle 85 with what I call NO RUST on the body!!!!! even has the original working Toyota radio in it!!! After almost three hours of talking with him he decided he would sell it and I had to buy it! hasn't been ran in months but jumped it off put some gas in it and drove it 20 miles home! I will post some pics of it later today after I can clean it up and wash all the drool off of it LOL!
