yeah we had a samurai for a few months. first time we took it off road with street tires it did pretty good (nowhere near as good as a toyota). They roll very easily, but then again they are easy to get back on 4 wheels. LOL

I liked my Sami
I had an '87 hardtop Samurai for about 10 years. I'm reducing my fleet and recently sold the little guy. I liked it but didn't do any major improvements, I just drove it everywhere. It was a good parts runner, dirt road driver and exploration vehicle that didn't cost much to drive. A Sami is like an early jeep: nearly the same wheelbase, gutless, and light weight. The difference is that on the Sami some of the non-essential things actually worked. You know, like the wipers, heater, turn signals, etc. It was a remarkably capable little rig in spite of low clearance and small space. I even put a whole elk in the back and closed the door! Nearly got a hernia doing it though. Would I trade my early Toyota pu for a Sami? Nope! but I drove the Sami more. Have a good day.

Slow, weak, not a DD, but look fun as hell off road and cheap to maintain and reliabile. Underestimated off road. Lowrangeoffroad makes stuff for them including a toyota axle swap. I was looking at getting one at one time
