Money permitting, I'll own this one day. Hands down my favorite modern sports car.
However, money normally does not permit, so I'd be stuck with a cheaper car.. Which is at least Toyota!
And though the title of the thread applies to modern sports cars, I'm gonna join the crowd and post my favorite car from the past!
I'd like a new 370z, but they are overpriced, too fat, and too American!

Yep, this is indeed the rear wheel drive AE86, inspiration for the Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ mentioned in the post above mine. The AE86 ran from 84-87, the front wheel drive Corolla coupes ran 88-92.

Man, those old Z cars and the RX-7s were some of the baddest imports around back in the day. I knew a few guys that stuffed SBC into the Zs back in the day... insane rides. I knew another guy that had a Buick V6 stuffed into a Datsun B210... another insane ride. Silly farm boys. I'll never forget the first time I got my a$$ handed to me by an MR2 vs. my V8 Monza. RX-2s & 3s, V8 Monzas, Mustangs and Vegas, old Detroit muscle everywhere... we had some crazy rides back in the day.

LFA FTW!! I would love to own one.. right now, I'll just enjoy my supra. Its a 1993 Original Twin Turbo 6 Speed Black Interior Hardtop. Its hard to believe this car is 20 years old! Probably one of the Rare and Few that is still 100% stock and OEM.
