Got Em..Definity Dakota (Cooper) 265/75/16 A/T

well i bit the bullet and got my new tires. didnt need new tires but needed an a/t to satisfy my weekend warrior needs!
got em at pep boys for 88 ea!!! they are 500 times better than my other tires, firehawk indy 500 265/70/16. they are a bit louder on the road and i believe raised the truck an inch(according to a formula online). noticed a very slight loss in low end due to the larger size but still has what spunk the runner used to have. they have a 50k warranty and heres the pics...

whatcha think?

Yeah, for $88 I would say you did alright. Off topic: I see you live in Chicago, I am moving back to Milwaukee at the end of January and i'm wondering where you go wheeling. I really only got into trucks when I moved out west (used to be into auto-x) and I'm not sure what kind of wheeling awaits me when I get back to the midwest.

Can't beat that price. I just dropped $158/tire for REVO's. I hope those work out for you. Make sure to post a review once you've been through some trails and the white stuff.

they did good today. they cleared well even though there was nothing but mud all 300 acres of trail! nasty rains here. i tried a trail i couldnt do before cause of tires and i made it with minimal issues. those being HUGE rocks in the middle of the trail. just not tall enough. it was fun, challenging, and picked up 2 more battle scars.
for an a/t in the mud, i would give them a 7 of 10. i am not talking just mud holes here, i am talking really off camber trails full of mud, rocks, trees and god knows what else. tuff tuff trail. the other trails (easier) the truck handled WAY better and i didnt even need to lock the rear, which was ALL the time in the old ones. i only took them to 18 psi as i have no idea their side wall rating and didnt want them to pop out a lump!!
and sorry, no pics. trail was to tight to open doors and even think about pics. i almost rolled the runner at the very end. can you say PUCKER!!!!!

tires are good to go IMO. there are those that will just say that the BFG is the way to go. thats fine and all but these are great tires too!

Nice, those look like BFG AT's but for half the price i'd say you made an excellent choice.
I was interested and wanted to see if they made a MT tire but came up empty handed. In fact, if you type 'Definity Dakota' in google, your thread is one of the first links displayed. lol... Every other search has nothing usefull.
How did you find out Cooper makes 'em?

here is the link to the M/T and a few others. http://www.shoplocal.com/cl2-133279+216076_rightrail.fp

i made them show me that they were made by cooper rocket. i too searched on them and found ZERO information. so i took a chance and it payed off. the guys that were spotting me said that they cleared really well.

I just bought two new 245 x 75 x 16's for my 07 Wrangler @ 8:00 PM. (I had to as a disgruntled employee slashed my passenger side tires, well he's fired!)

They only had two in stock so I will put on the other two on Friday. Kinda runnin a lil "stinkbug" for a couple days but I was stranded!

They seem to make a significant difference in the back! I will post more after the other two are installed and I get to use them on my vacation in two days.

More to come about the soon to be "unemployed" employee also.
