I FINALLY got my first 4Runner today! Thing is, I expected 15" wheels, but it had 16" wheels on it. I didn't know this was a factory option, but the speedometer was accurate according to GPS and another vehicle that was following me, so I'm assuming the 16's came from the factory. I want to run 15 inch wheels and tires. Can I switch to those without causing any problems?

Yes, 16" is a factory option and very common on the 3rd gen 4Runner.

No, IF you have 16" brakes you can't put 15" wheels over them.

My 98 came with 16 inch wheels and is a Limited and no, I cannot run 15 inch wheels unless I do lots of grinding to my calipers. Why go 15s anyway? Unless you already have them, 17s are the new 15s.

I don't know how, with all the research that I did, I missed that some of those came with 16s. I appreciate you guys help me out with that! Guess I'll just be happy with the 16s and the bigger brakes!
