Not sure if this is the correct place to post this. We're finally able to do our first little overlanding trip. Looking for general feedback and advice. This is our plan
-Fly over from Kauai- where we live.
-Buy a 2nd or 3rd gen 4 Runner in LA (thinking a 3rd gen will be more reliable for this long trip, but we are used to camping in the 2nd gen we have here)
-Build out the back for camping in 1-2 days
-See the best NY Ska band- the Slackers in LA and SD
-Drive around Joshua Tree, Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Moab, Grand Canyon
-Overland Expo Flagstaff May 20
-Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Idaho, and Oregon
-Then ship the 4runner back here to Kauai, and sell it (says my girlfriend) or keep it and turn my current 4runner into a Rambla (much better idea)

I've been using this forum for a while now and it will be nice to be able to contribute a bit more with our experiences. We're planning to take about 2 months from May to June. We greatly appreciate any advice on any of these spots!
