Swapping a 302 into my 1981 Pickup
So I'm looking for some advice here fellas, I'm pretty sure we have 1 or 2 302 blocks laying around and am thinking of building one up and dropping it into my 1981 Toyota pickup. Any advice or is it even possible to put a 302 into that pickup. Any feed back helps here guys. It currently has a 22r and a L45 4 speed transmission

Kind of in the same boat as you friend. I am putting my 302 into my 90 4rnr. Going to start it after new year.
Hope everything works out for you. Wish I had some advice to give you but I have not done a swap into a total before. Basically a newb when it come to this. Seems like there will be a bit of trial and error in or future haha.

Talk to RustED Yota, he swapped in a 302 into his first-gen 4Runner. From what I understand, with the right clutch and adapter it can go together but the devil's in the details as far as cooling and some other bits.
