It is a 3" body lift but I will cut it down if I dont need the full 3". The 5.3 is out of a 04 tahoe but it is basically the same as the 02's. It is rated at 285 hp and 295 tq. I should be able to get 300 out of it with the tuning, headers intake and possibly a cam if it will still pass emissions.

i'm pretty sure chimmike is right about the 325 tq.
how much did you pay for the engine/ecu?
what was the total cost of the swap? (Not the sas, just the engine)

IMO that much power is perfect for the 4runner. Not too much, but definitely not too little. I would imagine you'll put down about 250whp/300ft-lbs when it's all said and done. Very respectable.

They changed the tq and hp ratings every year. As far as I know the only thing they changed was the computer program and the later (03+) doesnt have as much emissions control stuff. I paid $1200 for the engine which included all the wiring, the ecu, and two intakes. So far $1200 is all I have in the engine swap but I still need a fan, fuel lines, and possibly a fuel pump. I paid $800 for the transmission and transfer case so i guess I have a total of $2000 in the swap. The gen III engines are very easy to mod as long as you have the right tools.

No the 10 bolts are in the trash pile. It has a wagoneer d44 ( which isnt much better but atleast it has flat tops). I believe I am going to keep the yota rear for a little while. I dont know if 4.10 gear are going to be too low for what I am doing or not. If they are I will change it out to a 14 bolt and 3.73's

I got one of the rear springs on but I am not sure about the shackle angle. I tried to weld on the passenger side untill I realized my drop cord for the welder was 3 feet too short I will try to get pictures tomorrow of the shackle angles before I weld them in permantly incase they need to be moved.

lol. The are off of a tractor trailer. My dad had the recentered. That was back before 44's came out when he was mud racing and this was the largest tire readily available,
