302 carb vs efi
So the deal is I have a 88 4runner with the 3.0 that is wore slap out. I am thinking about a 302 swap since my buddy has one out of a 93 mustang gt that I can get pretty much for free. The only problem is he took the efi set up off of it. So if I do this swap should I put the efi back on it or go to a carb set up? This rig is my dd.

I would go with carb just for simplicity and save having to add all of the electronics. Here is a build thread https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...thread-250373/ that might give you some ideas of what to look for.

That is not my build but is another members. I had a 3.0 and seems like with a manual transmission it was getting 17 mpg on highway. The automatic transmissions I think get around 15 but could be wrong on that.
