Im going to do the swap, its just a matter of time and $$$. Wanting to try to get by as cheap as I can but that will be hard to do. Im restoring my 70 Charger RT so it gets all the goodies lol. Seems like finding detailed research on the 302 swaps are as rare as spotting a sasquatch. I will take pics and post my build into detail though it may be slow because I work 6 days a week long hours. I will describe what I am shooting for and any help from you guys on anything from saving money to any ideas to help me get this done will be greatly appreciated. Im buying a 1987 5.0 out of GT that was crashed with 92,000 miles that is a complete engine, my yote has AC so that will be great. Im swapping out the EFI for a carb set up so the electrical stuff will be gone. My brother is a Mustang freak and has done several swaps to carb so we got that covered. Ill be mating an AOD to the 5.0 so ill be buying a core and my brother will also be rebuilding it to make it very strong. I guess Ill be mating a 21 spline transfer case out of a 5-speed yote to the adapter plate from North western. Not for sure about all the linkages yet and few other things, really hadn't thought about it. Like to swap out the 430 gears to. I plan on driving this rig to work, hunting, just about anything with it I guess. Got to get the goods in first. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!!
