How much have you guys turned your IP up, what's your favorite pump tune for your 617 swap? What's the worst part of pulling the pump on your rig, lol? What do you do for egt's, intercooler, water injection?

OK guys since only a hand full of people in the world know how to turn up an MW pump properly (me being one of them) Im considering offering a pump service to the guys interested in getting more from their 617 without spending $1000+ shipping both ways to Sweden and back for a custom pump.
I've seen people on various swap boards complaining about their 617 swap and its lack of power. There's two simple fixes for the lack of power:
1) Spend the $1000+ for a 8mm Dieselmeken pump and upgrade your turbo to a hx35 super.
2) Turn your stock MW pump up.
I highly recommend option #1 dieselmeken is the best diesel injection pump builder in the world, no question! He's a really nice guy and his work is the best money can buy. His pumps also come with a lifetime warranty even if you bought it used. Of course there's no point in getting a pump that big without up grading your turbo, and a hx35 super will cost another $700 if you have a source for a non Chinese piece of ˟˟˟˟ bootleg imposter. I have a source for real holset turbos.
If you don't have $2000+ laying around to spend on your swap you might want to think about having a shop turn up your stock pump, only problem with that is most if not all shops dont know how to turn up a MW pump. Most shops only know how to adjust pumps to stock specs and have no clue how to turn up the MW pump up while keeping the three different internal governors balanced which is a must to maintain drivabilty and return to idle.
I'm trying to see if there is enough interest in getting your stock MW pumps turned up to make it worth my time. Not only do I tune the three different goveners that controlled the MW pump but I also add a custom piece of my own that pushes the beginning of fuel cutoff from around 3800 rpm to over 6000rpm.

Pics, youtube vids, and dyno graphs talk. People are going to want visual proof of your work. Cost is another one people will want to know. I tried to have Bosch tuned my pump, but they wanted an arm and a leg. I'd like to see your work!

Thanks for the reply! If it looks like there's enough interest from the community I'll get an engine dyno'd with a stock pump and get one dyno'd with one of my tuned pumps so everyone can compare the graphs and see the real world numbers. If there's any other members here that may be interested hopefully they will chime in. If I do get to the dyno shop I'll make a few videos of the passes and post them on YouTube.
Any other ideas or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I haven't decided on a number yet, but I can assure you it will be very reasonable. I'm not doing this to get rich, I really just want to help the community a bit because I don't like seeing the threads about the 617 being under powered. That being said, like every one else around here finding free time to tune pumps is hard to come by so I can't do it for free but I will be able to do it at a very good price.

I would love to see some graphs as well. I've been looking at having dieselmeken do a pump for me once my swap is done in my 4runner. I also dd a 300d so an affordable way to increase power would be awesome.

Count me in on the interested list. Im currently working with PryoJoe and another company to get my swap together. Been doing a bit of research on what i can do to increase power and if your work is affordable and as you say I'm definitely interested.

Well guys, its not looking too good. Looks like we only have three people that are interested. Maybe well get lucky and more members will chime in showing intetest. I'll give it another week or so hoping enough members show interest to make this happen.
Feel free to email me or message me on here if you'd like.

I'll be interested if/when I get my swap done. I'm on the fence about going forward with the OM617 vs selling it and finding a TDI. (And got burned by another vendor offering kits on these forums, so it'll be a while before I have money together for another attempt)
