i need a trans that ll hold at least 400 hp from a 7mgte
i having a problem trying to find a trans that i can use in my swap. my 7m has 500hp at 37psi + NOS but i dont run NOS and i run my boost around 30psi. the w56 that bolts up wont be able to take that kind of abuse and i cant think of a divorced t case to run on it with the r154 (2wd) trans. i want to use a M/T so i can really use all of the power and i want to keep my 4wd too. HELP!!!

I guess a better question is why don't you think the W56 will fit your needs? I know of a few people with a 7mgte and a W56 set-up that there running.
Just curious...

I've talked with guys on here who 'basically' just bolted the transfer case on the back of the R154. Or you could just get an R150f from a V6 truck. From what the guys who did the supra swap said it looks like if you have the 4wd drivetrain from a V6 truck you can bolt that up behind a R154.

the R150f and the R154 is the same internal transmission other than the gear ratios and the transfer case so it's really just as strong. The guys said they bolted up the transfer case on the R154 by unbolting the tailshaft and replacing the pieces with the tailhousing and what not from the R150f.

@tuneup: i just hate going back and replacing and spending money on things when i could "measure twice and cut once". thanks for the link man.
@91diesel: thanks, do happen know which bellhousing it is that mates to the 150f and the 7m, or do i just use the bell form my 154 and put it on the 150f

All 'R' series transmissions are the same case. So a R154 bellhousing is needed to mount a R150f transmission behind a supra motor. This is also why you apparently (I haven't done it myself so.....but I researched it for my diesel) can unbolt the tailhousing off of a 154 and bolt up the shifter/4wd parts off of an 150. Although you'll probably just want to use the 150 due to the lower first gear. The 154 has a taller overdrive gear which may be a consideration for you, that's what I was going after .75 vs a .85.
