22re to 7mgte swap

I have never heard of anyone putting a 7mgte with an automatic in a 4x4. The problem is you need a supra bellhousing to bolt up to the engine. These bellhousings bolt right on to the G and W series manual transmissions already in the trucks. If you were talking a 2x4 I would think you could just use the supra automatic and fabricate a new cross member and driveshaft.

Im in the middle of a 7mgte swap myself, but i went manual.
You probably wont run into any huge issues if you go 2wd instead of 4wd. IE, use the 7mgte and A340e transmission). potential issues are going to be cutting the transmission tunnel back to allow your shifter to stick through (the 7mgte sits further back in the engine bay thus pushing your transmission back). You also will 99% most likely need a custom drive shaft. Everything else as far as engine mounts and engine related swap items will be the same...
If you want to keep the truck 4x4...You would have to find out if the A340e transmission and the truck auto transmission have commonality. I honestly have no idea.
