22re to 7mge in a 94 toyota pickup
Ok I am gathering all my parts at this point for this swap. So far I have 7mge ecu and wire harness, bellhousing, clutch fork, slave cylinder,AFM,ignition coil. One thing that is going to be hard for me is to figure out all the wireing! I have checked out the wire page on supracharged.com but I still have a few questions. Do I need the fuse box under the hood of the supra or can i reuse the 22re fuse box? Also if you guys think that Im missing any parts pleace let me know! I still need to get 5mge upper engine mounts and a front sump oil pan.

Im guessing this is the one you read...
http://www.supracharged.com/tech/wir...5_88-old.shtml
I would say make friends with someone who knows about wiring haha.
It is my weak point so im going to need some help when i do the swap.
Im thinking that you can use your stock fuse box, out of all the swaps i have read through it seems that they have always used the stocker.

see I agree with you 2doorRunner! I havent heard anything about guys not using the stock fuse block under the hood! And I do need to make friends with someone that has done this swap, only problem is that no one around here has done it! But I think if i fallow the wireing diagram to a T I think i will be ok! Im excited cuz I got about half the stuff I need to do this swap!!!

Yeah im going to be saving through the summer and will hopefully do it for my senior project next year. I never knew it was so cheap untill i read through a guys thread. I would have thought it was a couple grand and a bunch of fab work!

Yeah I understand you on that one! I read threw a thread over on the swap page was a guy doing a 22re to 7mge and he said he did it for under a grand! I was like hell ya thats way cheaper than doing like a 4.3 chev and you get like the same amount of power and its TOYOTA thats what I love about it.

If you are looking for parts and its hard to find them join a toyota supra fourm and look in there for sale ads! I just picked up a 7mge ECU,wire harness, bellhousing, clutch fork, slave cylinder,AFM and coil/ingnitor for like $350 shipped.

Yeah at first I was going to do a later 4.3 but kinda thought i would be putting my toyota down with a chevy engine in it. So then I thought about doing lexus v8 but there seem to be alot of fab work and also alot more wireing! And I dont need that much more power I just want to be able to go up a hill and a decent speed and to mabye pull a 4 wheeler for hunting season. I also wanted to get good milage! So 7mge is the best bang for my buck!

Yeah it seems to be the best motor for most applications. And i like the fact that i wouldnt have to modify anything else. I woulsnt want to start blowing up diffs or anything with a v8 haha
