1uzfe swap NEED HELP!!!!
I have a 1991 Lexus LS400 engine that is a complete mystery to me. I am trying to figure out how to start the engine while mounted on a stand. I just need it to run for 30secs to make sure the engine works. I also have the ecu from a 91 ls400 as well. Someone please take the time to help me figure it out! here are some pictures.
The beast has made it home!!
Sorry about the orientation of this picture. This is the ecu. Its pinout sequence is 26p 16p 22p 26p. I do not know how to use this to start the engine. Some guy on another forum told me i need to give it power and that it....That doesn't help me at all. Do i need a fuel pump? If I do, where do i attach it?
Here is the engine sitting on a stand. How do i get this to start on the stand. Im a complete newbie to this engine business and need step by step instructions on how to do it.

I dont know a whole lot about these engines, but an engine is an engine, and they all require common things to run... fuel, spark, air, compression. If you have no fuel, it will not run.

did anything else come with that engine?
you need the igniters that are normally on the fender on the left hand side. also the AFM you will need, not to get it to run though.
you'll need all 4 ecu connectors. theres 3 that come from the engine and one that normally gets left with the car because it goes to the body harness. the connector for the body harness because it supplies power to the ecu and a few other necesary inputs for the engine once you are ready to ge it going for good.
I reccommend you have a read over at lextreme.com and here http://oldschool.co.nz/2011/forum/in...-and-non-vvti/

I am still doing mine!
Just completed another though! Using Megasquirt which if you are missing the igniters would allow you to run Chevy COP! Have a look on my thread there is a simple wiring diagram! But if you are not sure even about fuel then you need to do some research! This is not a simple engine! I will help where I can! Plenty of info out there if you search! Also the bracket for the igniters needs to be grounded!
