95 t100 3.4 auto 2wd motor into 95 4runner 3.0 wiring help needed
I'm doing a swap in my 95 4 runner 4x4 auto 3.0. Putting a 3.4 from a 95 t100 2wd auto and using my original transmission. I have complete donor vehicle . I've got the harnesses from both motors available. I'm needing help w the e4 plug wiring as well as the big gray plug and white plug from the engine harness to connect to my 4runner. The big gray one connects but the white one is different than the 4 runner. I've completed the rest of the swap myself with help from some good people on other sources but I'm at the point where the wiring is all that's left and need some help. Any odyssey have some input here. It would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to make an adapter harness to go between the white and gray plugs on the 3.4 harness to the plugs on the body harness of the 3.0 4Runner. You will need to match up the functions on the plugs from the 3.4 to the functions on the plugs of the 3.0 This is done by using the EWD's from both vehicles.
There is a little more to it than it sounds like in my description above, but if you read thru the stickies you will understand.
Good luck, it sounds like a lot of work but once you get into it and get an understanding of the EWD's and wiring harness' it really is not that bad.

If you haven't already done so, go visit TIS (Toyota's Technical Information System, https://techinfo.toyota.com/) and download the EWD (Electrical Wiring Diagrams) for both your donor's truck and your truck (I would download all the diagrams, just so that you have them, I seem to recall having to look in an odd section to find some of the wires in the engine harness). It's $15 for 48 hours.
Ride4Fun has the right idea with the harness. Search around and read through some of the stickies and other swap threads (Elvota's for one is an excellent resource).
