1989 pickup 3.4 swap
#22
All is well
im in moose creek just outside of North Pole. I have been meaning to do a video and post that. However so far the only code that piped up was for the egr vsv. That was a simple fix because I just so happened to have another one laying around. Ive put about 2000 miles on it now and it runs and operates as if the 3.4 came in it from the factory I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend doing it if your trying to build a good all around rig. I will have a video up sometime this weekend. Are you thinking of doing the swap?

Yup, I want to SAS and 3.4 swap my 87. The summer is busy time for me at work 10-12 hour days 5-6 days a week. I put money away all summer and I think I'm going to start with the SAS in a month or two. First I have to get my W56 back into the 4runner, I spent labor day weekend fixing a throwout bearing and t-case that was hard to shift. I finally gave up just now and I'll try and tackle it next weekend. I can't get it lined up. I would love to see your swap in person.

i don't have an EWD. If I did so then yeah I would have given it to you. However I paid like 15 dollars for 48 hours of access to TIS. it doesn't really have much for the 89 but it's better then nothing and you can download the info and print it out. techinfo.toyota.com it's definitely worth the 15 bucks.
