Wheel Alignment Issue - 99 4 runner

Hi
I've recently been seeing an abnormal wear pattern on the outside tread of the front tires on my 99 4 runner. Visually looking at the front of the vehicle it looks like there is some positive camber. After taking it to the alignment shop to have it checked, they verified that it is virtually 0 deg or 0.1 deg. positive. The also said that this was within spec.
-Has anyone expirienced this?
-Has anyone tried to set the camber to the negitive side of the tolerance?

thanks

How hard are you taking corners? What is your air pressure?

The fronts (and rears too) will take a beating on the outer edges with low pressure and fast corners. I strongly recommend against negative camber. This isn't a sports car, it will flip if you try to make it handle like one.

Is the wear identical on both sides? or is one more worn than another?
I also don't think negative camber is the answer either.

The wear seems to be the same on both sides. I've just rotated the tires and should be able to verify the wear characteristic.
Tire pressures are 35psi.
The specs call for camber between -0.6 deg to +0.9 deg.

my Camber (according to alignment shop)
Left = 0.2 deg.
Right= 0.1 deg.

I was interested in setting the camber more to the negitive side of the tolorance if in fact there is abnormal wear and try to even the wear out.

hummmm.... sport car huh???
