www.engnbldr.com for your master kit. not a bad kit at all for the price. if you want to get expensive, you could always get parts from LC engineering.

these are easy engines to rebuild, the main part is making sure the block and head are true, flat and clean before putting on the head gasket, and to use a good gasket(engnbldr's is a good quality one). i learned the hard way(broke my cam, so i pulled the head and also did the gasket and used a cheapie, now 2000 miles after that and my truck is sitting in the driveway with no head!)

how much did he pay to have the lce done? i have been looking on the engnbldr.com and that master kit really looks like a good deal. also another question, what can i do to my exhuast to make it a bit louder and give it a little deaper sound? since it is a 4 cyl, i didnt think that there was much of anything to get it to sound that great? is the flowmaster 40 series any good on these?

3 grand for a complete rebuild.

The head was a tad over $500 for all new valves and guides, plus the machining and Crane Cam.

The block got new bearings, rod resize, 30 over pistons and rings, machining.

Includes used timing chain cover, new timing chain, oil pump, new clutch and gasket set. Had the air plenum hot tanked to remove the black sludge.

Assembled back into a long block. Pricing is Canadian.
