Anyone keep maintenance reminders/records on their computer?

Just wondering, my glove compartment envelope is over-stuffed, and in the quest to be more organized, I'm moving everything to my computer. How do you guys do it? Excel? access? Or some other software? I'm not quite good enough to make a useful excel template, so help would be great! I need some software, or an access or excel template, that records what I have done, and what I need to do, at a 3k mile interval.

i learned database programming by writing some software to keep track of maintenance. it was really cool, it kept track of everything and then predicted when your next mainenance would be and sent you warnings so you'd remember. i'll see if i can find it for you. the trouble is that i switched to linux a couple of years ago and don't know where my old windows code is.

cool, thanks, I wish I took programming in HS, I switched schools too late and I didn't have all the requirements. How did it predict your next maintenance? Do you just input your mileage everyday for a week, and it goes off of that or something?

I use Excel for everything. I even chart the MPG on both our vehicles. Works great.

Receipts are a great selling point, but detailed printouts of records are also nice because the buyer does not have to dig through a bunch of stuff. Of course for Toyota's we all know there aren't many unscheduled maintenance trips anyway...

Yep. I have a chart for all my vehicles. excel spreadsheet.
I update it every time I change something. I've been using it for 3 years now.

Why dont you just get a small note pad and write stuff down? That's what I do for mine and I just store the notebook under the passenger seat.
