It is a 2 wire guage in the center of the engine between the plenum and the firewall. It unplugs and I think its a 22mm deep socket you need to remove it.

Not to confuse things but I just went through this last week. The Coolant Temp Sensor is the small one with the gray 2 prong connector directly behind and below the throttle body. It took a 19 MM socket to remove it I believe. The BIG one that looks the same only bigger directly in the middle area of the Intake took a 22 MM socket to remove, but the part did cross with what I was given at the parts store. I cross-referenced the part number on the side of the sensor and it turned out to be the Cold Start Injector sensor (Black Connector). I just want to make sure that we are both on the same thing. After I changed the "little gray one" my temp needle stopped bouncing all over the place, but my problem was intermittent anyway so I cannot be 100% sure until I drive it for a good while. If I am wrong, please let me know, if not then I hope that I helped out a little.
