94 exhaust O2 location for 97 3.4 swap

My world spun out of control which caused me to put off my 3.4 swap. My 97 3.4 has been in my driveway for about a year and now I can get back to gathering more parts to git er done......I can't wait, but I am a bit apprehensive as this will be my biggest mechanical project yet.

I read that the exhaust CAT location is different from the 97 and 94 4Runner. Will this effect the ECU when the 02 sensors are installed?

Also, my engine didn't come with all of the sensors for the EVAP and maybe others. I think they are the VSV sensors or something like that. Can someone please chime in as to what sensors are needed. I have the ECU and MAF......what is the ECM?
Thanks guys......good to be back and finally getting the ball rolling again.......my Auto engine harness is converted to fit my 97 MT 4x4 ECU......can't figure out my dash harness connections....grrrrrr

As long as you have the correct sensors For the ECM your using one in front and one behind the Converter .

Making sure to make sure the harness reaches before making the exhaust location final.

ECU/ECM for some reason the older engines are ECU while the newer ones are ECM

Your saying you don`t have whole charcoal canister that sits on the left inner fender I think most of the VSV`s are mounted right there.

When your ready I can sit down and draw the diagram for the cab plug to the ECM

Hey Craig, Yes, I have the evap canister for both the 3.0 and the 3.4. I still have to get the sensors I think and a diagram would be great, but I think I have seen one in Evota's tread.
