Installing a rear kit. You must cut off the stock spring perches and rotate the axle for the new pinion angle. In this case, we are also installing dual cases, so it needs to be rotated for the duals to around 16-17 degrees.

So, the rear is just about done.

Springs hung, Pinion angle set for duals at 16*. Perches welded on. Need to paint.

SAS Done. 2.5 days.

Just a few items that were done along with this swap. The axle was already built. It has 5.29s, ARB, 30 spline Longfields, and is fully trussed and gusseted. It also has 4runner V6 calipers on it. We went ahead and swapped in a 1" bore master cylinder this morning to support the larger brakes as well.

The rear axle has 5.29s, ARB, and I welded the smaller diff protector onto the rear.

Tires and wheels will be dropped off a week from Saturday when Rob comes to pick it up.

The truck is also getting a R151 turbo 5spd, dual cases with 4.7s in the rear case and a TG twin stick shifter for the top shift case.

Later he will be adding sliders, bumpers, and winch.

Basically three of us. But, not all of us at the same time. So pretty much two guys all the time.

Its just more efficient when you know exactly where to place things to make them work right.

FWIW, we left the shop early yesterday at 3pm and we were done by 11am this morning. So, it could have been done in two days.
