Is there a height restriction on the rear too?

You can pull more leafs if you want to. It does fit the budget. Haha. Just make sure the leaf pack doesn't start to "w". Could make a RUF spring pack pretty cheap... probably not to great on the road though..

In the rear i have all the room in the world to lower it. I have a nine inch adjustable shackle and Chevy springs all i have to do is move the bolt to a different hole to controll the rear lift. and weakening the springs is what im afraid of its the 5 inch hd spring pack.
is there really any point to the bottom 2 springs i would be left with 4 springs and could gain an inch just dropping those two really little ones. id have to get new center bolts but thats not really a big deal.

again thanks for all the help and support guys.

1995 4runner Jeep wagoneer SAS

So I'm new to this whole forum thing and somewhat new to truck builds. I have a 1995 4runner that I'm doing an SAS on. I think it's an 87 jeep wagoneer straight axle almost like Dana 44's. I was wondering what kind of leaf spring and shocks set up would make for the best wheeling and pavement driving? It's being powered by the 4.3 liter Chevy V6.

the waggoneer d44 is a common axle to swap in. tons of info out there in leafs to choose depending on desired ride height. the 4.3 weighs around 425lbs, so heavier than a Toyota 1UZFE v8 - perhaps look at builds with v8 swaps so you get an idea of what springs they use up front to hold it up. no idea on clearance for the 4.3, but i'm sure people have don it before.
