Looking to see how you do the axle tube merger
I have to remove and strip the 8" housing down....then make a jig. Capture the 4 holes on each end of the housing with very rigid mounts.
Making sure the gasket mounting surface is perfectly level with a bubble. And the rest will fall right into place. I have a 9.5" 3rd member that needs a little building up first.
Stay tuned.

Realizing that a proper "triangulation/fisheye/spreading of the stresses is needed, I had to spend 40 Big Ones for a one foot piece of DOM.
ID equals 3.124" is perfect for some reinforcing plates.

If the above picture(s) do not show up properly then Clear the cached images by hitting Ctrl/Shift/Delete all at the same time....then do a refresh.

Stay tuned eric and dropzone.....the 12" chunk of DOM just arrived.....still waiting for the bare 3rd to arrive.

Just arrived.....

They said it would be 12 inches....I measured 11 31/32....I guess that will suffice.
Wall thickness is a perfect .188 to match the thickness of the axle tubes which I think is right around the same number.
Chopsaw time.....

The 4 axle housing half plates are ready....2 on each side. Beefs up the housing at those 2 vertical stress points
such that I never have to worry about THAT spot on the housing ever again....it's all the spots......
