No experience with then what so ever. I had heard that too and there is a jeep in my apartment running 39.5 irok's. don't think it ever been offroad but when I moved in it was brand new and now a year and a half later maybe 30% of life left. The irok's are daily used.

some of the progress. the pictures with the front hanger tacked 3/4" forward aren't where the hanger is now. ended up welding it flush with my homeade frame crossmember... stock one was bent.. when the hanger was at 34" forward the shackle angle was way vertical.. but as of today the front is pretty much done, axle is bolted in, steering on, shock hoops welded shocks in, brakes, new bearings, and lockouts are on. all i need to do is throw some more paint on it and the wheel spacers and the front is done. along with a front driveline... then onto the rear---63" chevies

I think Its a tad too tall for my liking so I'm thinking I'm going to drop the body lift completely or lower it to a 1.5" body, we shall see. coming along nicely though. Should be rolling by this weekend. just got my rear diff back and already bolted it in my housing so then I can mount my rear axle and do some other odds and ends and shes done

nothing too new, I will post pictures of when the truck is on all four tires. I've been waiting on shocks for the rear and bumpstops and extended brakeline in the rear.

Some more pictures of the truck running and driving and SAS done. Already put 75 miles on it since yesterday and I'm very pleased! tracks straight as an arrow, absolutely no bumpsteer, and no vibrations even up to highway speeds!

Did you say you made the front part where the leaf springs hook up?

Well I made a new frame crossmember. Bought the TG spring hanger. My stock front frame crossmember was dented due to me slamming into a boulder with IFS so my spring hanger wouldnt sit flush to the frame to be able to weld So I cut out the stock one and replaced it with a 3x3x3/16 beef square tube and welded it tight. lot better than stock!

Oh ok I was just a little confused. Darn I was hoping you made it to kinda give me an idea on the size of everything still don't know if I'm gonna buy the kit or build some of the pieces my own and save some money.

Also did you use the stock drive shaft? Or did you have to get one that came from the pickup you got that axle from? I'm hoping to start my sas soon long as everything coming up falls the way I want it too.

I tried making a square tube shaft myself but it ended up being kinda a pita and it was binding up on me so I got one built from a local driveshaft shop for $200. a stock IFS shaft is way too short once your truck is SASed and I'm not sure about the 85 and earlier trucks shafts. good luck

Nevermind on what I had posted. But I noticed I haven't given you credit for your truck. It looks great. I'm very impressed by it I hope you have some wheeling pictures to post soon can't wait to see them.
