3rd Gen 4Runner SAS
Well I have lurked around a bit... Figured I would would register and start a thread on the recent SAS project we started. Mt son is in Korea all expenses paid for a year courtesy of the US army, so at least this helps follow along being a world apart. We found a 2000 at Copart with the front corner hit priced right and went for it. We are setting up for 37's on a 3-link D-44 up front. I have yet to decide on the rear, but it will most likely be leafs over a big tube full float 9". Have got into the build a bit and stockpiled enough parts to get moving finally. Probably should have waited on the bumpers and fender work, but that was good filler work while axle building and part searching... Liked some of the bumpers that were available, but always keep coming back to my own fab it seems. The fenders are another pet peeve of mine. I don't like how they end up getting cut without a lip to keep the flimsy sheet metal in place. Since it will be a true trail rig we are going for function and form over show truck circuit. More to come... Tried to attach pics, so hope that worked.

Pulled the pan and swapped to the T100 rear sump. Not sure how well the dipstick would work up front being cut down I added a sight glass to the pan. I think it will be easy to see once everything is in place.

Love the red/black theme. That is one beefed up 44!
The new T100 oil pan will work fine with the stock dipstick location. I measured and cut off 1.5" and it apparently cleared the pan and still allowed me to see the FULL mark. But, doing it again, I think I would cut to the LOW mark on the dip and test fit the oil pan....easy enough to tell it it hits when lightly pushing the oil pan in place.

I realized it once I dropped the pan. Reading before made it sound like the block was drilled and relocated, but not for my year. Well guess I have two ways to measure oil...
