Fellas, Been a while since I was here, but I'm back and coming back older.

Looking at an 83 long bed and was hoping to catch your opinions on pricing and what I should pay for it.

The truck is an 83, but it also comes with an 81 parts truck with a bad frame. Parts truck has axels and engine, but no transmission. There is also a second parts engine included.

Tires are old, but still holding air. Its on an original carb and a little rough to start. Intermittent idle issue. In my experience, a weber should clean that all up. Transmission is reported to have about an inch of slop when in gear, and also reportedly gets a bit sloppy handling around 60-65 mph.

Point being, what would you guys give a fair value at. Asking price, and he's firm on this, is $2000 for the truck and parts truck.

Parts truck $400 @ most.
That 83 is very rough. What do similar trucks sell for in Missouri?
It all depends on the local market.
Offer what you feel comfortable paying. .

Between the spare engine, the parts truck and the running truck, I feel like $2000 is fair. Open forum to trash my thoughts though, encouraged actually.

What kinda price do solid front axels sell for? Thinking about immediately parting out the parts truck and selling a spare engine to recuperate some costs.
