3. slow

I had a 92 yota with the v6 3.0l or 3vze and will never buy another one I was rearended in that truck and totaled it out earlier this year...loved the pickup itself nice ride but the 3.slow was nothing but a headache from the day i bought it I have heard others had good luck with them but they were never a powerhouse mine left me stranded several times so I never trusted it to go offroad too far...I have an 85 yota sr5 with a 22r and what a difference love it...they are hard to find but if at all possible find a 4cyl would be my advice

Welcome to YT! Both of you!

There are alot of 22re vz 3vze threads on here. It really boils down to preference. I like the 3vze better than the 22re. Tests drive the truck and see if you think it will fit your needs.

The overheating because of a bar is not true. They are know for blowing headgaskets in the #6 cylinder (well really anywhere) because of how the exhaust wraps around the back of the motor, but there are many ways to fix it.

Use that search button and google and youll find everything you need to know because yes, it has been covered before.

I had a v6 pickup for a bit and after fixing the headgasket I promptly sold it, and swore I would never get another one. But I think I'll only get another with the sole purpose of swapping a better engine into it.

thanks for the welcome man...how did you overcome the power problems? or have you not had an issue with the 3.0s power? I would love to get another 90s extended cab just for extra room in the cab but I was so pissed off with that motor in the end it's made me shy away from them
