Unfortunatly the more miles i put on my 04, the less i like it. I found a nice 2007 that i might go test drive, but i was wondering if i was just in for more of the things i dont like about my present truck. help me out.

things i dont like about my 04. -
it doesnt ride very well at all, even after replacing shocks on all 4 corners, which did help some. my 93 rode much better on the highway.
its really a handful on the highway in windy conditions. it drives like a little truck (and, yes i know it is a little truck)
its pretty small inside for two grown adults, add some ski gear that doesnt belong in the bed and its full up. seems to be getting smaller
I miss the convenience items my runner had, power windows/doorlocks, etc. the 2004 is pretty "basic".

Having a pick up to me is pretty much out of need, not really by choice. occasionally i need to haul some wood up to my mountain house, or cart my atv around. most of the miles i put on my vehicle are highway miles, and i need something to get me around in the snow.

i do like the fuel mileage, and the fact that it just seems like it will run forever, provided i put something under my a** to smooth out the ride.

Well the 07' will still ride rough, Toyota didn't build a very smooth truck with the Tacoma and you can feel it.

I cannot attest to the wind with the 07' but my 02' is also bad in the wind (and rough!)

The 07' will be a much larger truck inside (and out) than your 2004.

Obviously you can get the convenience items in the 2007 that your 04' doesn't have.

You didn't say what motor and trans are in either the 07' or your 04', would be nice to know. Also, assuming they're both 4x4?

Edit: Checked your sig, I see that you have a 4x4 2.7L

In that case, go for the new V6 4.0L, in certain cases guys are getting better milage than the 4cyl, not to mention you get a ton more power, AND a 6 speed manual trans as opposed to a 5 speed.
