Original radiator with 283,000 miles just doesnt flow like it should. That and it needs new hoses since these are hard and starting to leak a little.

There customer service is great and thy have a lifetime warranty... not to mention they run about $100.00 with free shipping.

Alpine
Hey whats up.
Jesse James here, sounding off from Alpine, in east county SD.
New to the forum but not to Yota's! Had an 01 Tacoma, but sold it to my brother and recently got a 3rd Gen 4Runner (1996, 3.4L V6, 4x4) and love it (except for the new transmission 2 weeks ago, lol).
I used to be mainly a dirtbike guy, but after a lot of injuries and medical bills, I either ride a quad or dune buggy. So the 4Runner (and 4x4's in general) is new to me, and another option for off-roading now, and I'm stoked.
I'm down to hit the deserts for some 4x4 or ATV riding now that the season is starting. My favorite spots are Gordon's Well, Glamis, Superstition, Ocotillo Wells, and badlands throughout Imperial County. I usually try to pull off a weekend camping session, but a day trip is cool too. So we'll definitely have to pull off a camping/day trip this season for all SD chapter members to roll to.
There are tons of awesome places in San Diego & Imperial to camp and off-road at. Perfect place for YotaTech peeps!

nice! The cool thing about Alpine is that great off-roading areas are only an hour or less away via the 8 Fwy. Casino traffic (Viejas, Sycuan) can suck/slow you down, but after that, it's smooth sailing. Hell, I even saw a small blimp take the 8 fwy (overhead), which was a funny sight in the middle of the mountains!

Inland North County here. Got a stock 86 Runner with new Zuk just to get me to the trailheads and back.. but would welcome a drive if it's not serious/technical off-roading.
Camping out in Little Blair Valley (Anza-Borrego) for Leonids meteor shower watch 17 Nov. 4x4 not required but dirt road has some nice contours for some amount of articulation.

Mira Mesa over here!
There's a few threads on the HG thing so I'm sure there's an answer if you haven't found it yet. VIN given to the dealer will tell you for sure but I don't think they're doing it anymore. Good luck.
