Registering OHV in CA
I wanna register my 4runner OHV in CA but DMV said it's only for atv and dirt bikes. I searched online and there are articles about registering a Jeep as OHV. I would like to use my truck for offroading only. Let me know if DMV is correct, and only ATV and dirt bikes can be OHV. Or what I need to do to get her OHV.

My experience with the DMV has been that if you don't like their answer come back and talk to a different person.
I have actually had 2 employees there argue over if I had to take a dirt bike to the CHP to have them inspect it before they would create a new title.
The lady helping me said No, the one sitting next to her said Yes.
They both went and talked to their supervisor and came back and off to the CHP I went.
Go in and try again.

Of course it's possible.
There are thousands of pre runners, buggies, drag trucks, rock crawlers, mud boggers and custom creations that were all converted from factory build street legal vehicles.
To back and talk to some one else.
Depending on how its transported (open trailer?) the DMV may refer you for a CHP inspection also.
