Saw this, didn't see a thread, don't know if anyone's interested or anything more about it or have anything to do with it. I can't make it....got an OTA mega event that weekend with trail building, food, camping and beer, what more can I say?
Anyway....

I need to live vicariously through you actual off roaders. October would be good but it seems as though there is no events planned so far. Maybe i'll plan one myself. Wa$heeta any one????

After all that Colorado and Utah stuff I am flat broke.
Working on the Berryman trail will just have to do.
'Course, free food and camping at the end of a good day of hard work doesn't hurt, either.
Cory'd better be posting lots of pics when all is said and done. I can do vicarious.

Ok I think I am gonna make the trip, really want to meet some others and excited to see some wheelin. I just have a few questions, I am new to off roading events and just picked up my 4Runner about a month ago. It is 100% stock with street tires, I am not looking to try anything in the Runner but would like to come out and watch. How do these events usually work?
Does everyone head out in their vehicles through the park, are there easy main trails that someone like myself could follow the group and then watch as others do the harder parts of the trail?
Just not sure what to expect? Do not want to make the road trip and then not be able to actually see anything.
Thanks for any input.

Come on out... there are some mild things that you can try in your truck and have a little fun. There are also main roads that lead to the trails that you can go and watch from, and I'm sure we can find you a rig to ride in for the nasty stuff so you can come with! Shoot me a PM if you're interested and we'll figure out something.

PICTURES! I wish I could have been there!
The Ozark Trail event was fun til we were trying to sleep on Saturday and the guys next to us and upwind who were very very drunk were telling each other their life stories and farting and smoking and farting and farting and talking until I finally got up 'round 3am to ask them to please shut up. On my way over I saw a naked guy walking across their campsite. That was kinda weird. The dudes were friendly-drunk, apologized and actually shut up with the talking....only to start snoring....ack! Well, it was better than the talking, anyway.
I went back to my tent and got settled in. As I was falling asleep I heard a guy asking someone 'What happened to me? Where are my clothes?'
