1987 Turbo Pickup 4x4
The good:
Its got a recent rebuild (new valves, guides, seals etc in the head) fresh head gasket, a new timing set and timing cover; new pistons, bearings etc.. It has a Garrett T3 kit from TEC ($3500 alone) with a 2.5" mandrel down pipe and 2.5" cat and exhaust. The boost is fully adjustable, but I havent put a boost gauge on so I haven't messed with it (its set at whatever TEC set it at).
It is 4x4, has the stronger transmission, transfer-case, and rear differential that came with the turbo models. The tube bed would cost over $900 to have built. It has an electric fan from a V8 crown victoria in a custom built bracket. The clutch is a newer heavy duty disc and pressure plate.
The bad:
Small oil leak, A/C doesnt work, the bench seat is pretty worn, but useable. The frame has some rust, I already replaced a large section of rusted out frame, it still has a couple holes, but nothing to make it structurally unsound. There is a small crack in the windshield, but it still passes inspection.
This truck is fun to drive with plenty of power (1st gear is nearly useless in the rain). It would be a good candidate for a trail rig, tuner project, or just use it as-is for a work truck, hunting rig, or something to drive when the snow hits or full DD.
$2950

Here is an overall shot of the engine bay. I forgot to mention that the truck has an Exide Orbital non-spillable battery (optima style).
Here is one of the T3 turbo from the driver side wheel well.
The crown vic fan, more than enough to keep it cool in any weather. Also, the alternator is newer.
$2700 OBO
