Vsc on in 4 hi mod

Can't find what i am looking for using search.

I have an 08 AT cruiser, yesterday while in 4 hi i lost control when the road suddenly went from compact snow to 2 inch mud. Luckily I got control back..... This time!

It occured to me that having vsc on in this situation would have likely prevented the problem.

I can not find any info out there other then its complicated or why would you want to do that

Has anyone tried to do this? Would simply unplugging the sensor that tells the ecu that you are in 4 hi work? Install a bypass switch so you can turn it off when going slow and on when going faster?

Well, like you said, I'm not sure why you want to turn it off.

So, did you fight the traction control as the vehicle "lost" control? Iirc, the wheel speed sensors provide the input as to what each wheel is doing to provide brake control. Doesn't the diff lock turn the vsv off any ways?

No my VSC turns off automatic when I put it in 4 hi. Only have trac control in 4 hi which works good for slipping tires. But VSC has yaw sensors that detect when the rear end brakes loose among other things.

I want to mod it si I can have VSC ON in 4 hi if I want it.
