How to make a 98 SR5 4x4 t100 sound _B_A?
Hey guys so I just got my t100 and I am in love. The first things I am going to do with her a just some simply things, intake, mods/upgrades. And the most important to me is the exhaust. When i have a bad day and hear a nice kind of loud...pretty loud, deep truck passes me it just makes all my troubles go away. So how would one go about making this possible with a t100? also what would you guys recommend be a good match to go with the new exhaust as far as intake goes. Also any thing you could do at home would be great I hat giving shops my hard earned cash.

well, if your area dont have that strict emissions law, you can cut the muffler off, and it sounds alright....or you can go with a flowmaster or something along them lines

I have a 93 and I cut the exhaust just after the cat and kicked it out right infront of the RR tire. sounded BAF. recently i also put a chrome 3" tip (its about 8" long and i cut the end of the exhaust off) and that made it sound like a dodge. lol. also, if your like me and like this, youll get that sweet crackle around 1500-2000 rpm, the tip amplified that too.

Please, for the love of god, do not straight pipe it. Being a 98, it has a 3.4, and they are nauseating when run without a muffler. If you want loud but a good tone, I would suggest something like the muffler on my T100. It's a magnaflow straight through. You could probably get a similar sound out of a cherry bomb.
If you would like a really good sound, but much more mellow, I'd suggest the muffler my bro 98_3RZ is running. It's a magnaflow turbo style muffler, 2.5 inch inlet-outlet. Bought it at checker for $75 and welded it in.

Edit-considering this was his only post, I can guarantee he's gone, so lets just let it ideas it should...

got a 98' t100 SR5 extra cab 4x4. cut the cat off put a flowmaster muffler on with the pipe right before the rear wheel. no engine light on and passes smog on it's own. sounds pretty good. i mean it's no chevy so it doesn't have the deep deep tone but still sounds pretty beastly. i'm in vegas and the smog laws aren't too bad out here but if i take it to cali i get every cops attention. haha!
