1996 t100 3.4 sr5 problem
My yota is having a problem with the motor cutting out at 3500 to 4000 rpm after a timing belt job, but i seem to think it is unrelated.we had it on a live data scanner and there were no misfires... what could possibly be the problem? it seems like it is hitting the rev limiter way too early is the best way to describe it.any help is appreciated

I would check the crankshaft position sensor and wires and make sure the big pully on the crankshaft (bottom one) is on tight and the key has not sheared. The engine will not run if it does not get the correct crankshaft position.
