Oil pressure switch...
So i recently did the head gaskets on my 89 toyota v6 3.0 but ever sense, i have had no reading at all for oil pressure.... So at first i had the oil pressure switch wire hooked up to ground cause i had forgotten where is was suppose to go and i figured it was a ground so i made a ground for it. little did i know, it went to the oil pressure switch so, i switched the plug to the connector on the end of the switch and still no oil pressure coming up in the cab? Could it being grounded out fried something? could the switch gone bad? Im clueless and frustrated. Please help!

Hmmmm, well I'm thinking when we all do the infamous sr5 gauge upgrade the first thing not to do is use the old dummy sensor or it will fry the gauge, wondering if the gauge got fried just a thought but it would make sense if you grounded it out.
Just thinking out loud though is yours an sr5?

Grounding the wire won't hurt the gauge. It should show max oil pressure with the wire grounded. Wire might be broken in the harness. 25 year old wire sitting next to the exhaust and in the way of the oil filter pliers...
