^^ wow that last mod isnt too bad. I like that you can keep all kinds of junk and sun glasses in those pockets. awesome man. is the wiring just a simple 12v and ground to body?
. It has several zip ties holding it to the metal bars running across the roof. The bars are support to hold a head liner up and they are stout.

Yea that one isn't a bad idea. Mounting would be my only worry. I'd imagine zip ties will get heat dried after a while. None the less that's a great idea man.

Make it look in a cockpit. Dude wouldn't it be cool to have a fighter plane handle as a shifter, better if you had the switches work

I wouldnt say this is a very cheap mod. but based on the hundreds of dollars i am saving by making it myself i guess you can consider it a cheap mod lol
Here is the heavy duty rear tire carrier bumper that ive been working on for the past 2 weeks.
The bumper sat a bit too high and too far in under the tailgate. I had to fix this problem or else my tire swing/spindle would not work at all cuz it'd be hitting the tailgate. So i pulled the bumper out all the way to the top of the hitch. So the hitch entry is gonna sit flush with the bumper. but because it would be sitting slightly higher i had to remove 1/4" to accomodate that hitch space. either way it still looks good.
As of right now the the bumper sits at approximately 68lb. I think it'll be about 90lb once its all done with the extra metal for the tire carrier swing away, spare tire, and possibly 1 Jerry Can or Water can spot. Still thinking about getting a secondary gas tank. But it seems like too much work to go through for someone who isnt usually low on gas. Not to mention all the extra weight im going to have aside from tire carrier/bumper and whatever cargo i carry on my roof rack. So Yea i think my choice will more then likely be to just have 1 Jerry can spot, or maybe 2 spots one for gas and one for water. and i'll just mount the license plate onto the Jerry can holder.
Spindle all mounted, at exactly 90* angles all the way around.

Stock 22re subaru wrx factory turbo, vortech super fmu, innovate lc1 wideband 02 if I can figure out how to post a thread I have a ton of pictures of the whole build amazing how it all came together made custom flanges out of my old welding table. Whole build with a very simple socket set a 4.5"angle grinder, horizontal band saw hammer welder and a few other everyday hand tools total canadian rednect build all of my buddies call it.
Wasnt after huge gains anyone who owns or has owned a 22re knows its a little under powered for a daily driver currently working out the tuning and a couple other minor details but so far so good has held 5psi without any major issues
