what brand power steering pump?

My power steering pump has been taking a dump for the past few years but its gotten real bad recently.

I found a cardone pump for a good price. I'm wondering what brand pumps are good. Should I just go with Toyota?

Red face

For the past few years all the reman parts have gone down hill

I would venture if you checked a Toyota pump you would have sticker shock.

As of Late for these parts I deal with Napa been dealing there years I have no problems with returns.

Anymore rebuilt parts are hit and miss it seems.

I would try and rebuild what is on there.

oem is best, but i know they're spendy. The cardone pump has a warranty, but i don't have any experience with them. like wyoming said, if you are comfortable with it, buy a rebuild kit. its usually easier than you are expecting, just follow the directions they (hopefully) send with the kit, be exact and come back here if you have questions.

Try rockauto or autozone, or just use a rebuild kit as an inexpensive option.

How come no one's suggested the local salvage? I'm possibly heading that way later on and although it's a risk since they're used, it's a deal depending on where ($26 caught my eye). That's one way of getting OEM. Rebuild kit is definitely another great route.
