stupid questoins about going from jeeps to toyota 4runners
I have owned a Cj7, an old full sized cherokee, and now I want a toyota 4 runner to get me further on less gas (and to hopefully not break as much). What should I look for? I need a daily driver with some offroad capabillity.
-I figure I will run my 33x10.5 TSL's on the rig, how much lift would I need? ---What kind of mileage can I expect to get with 33's, a 4 cylinder, 5 speed and the stock gearing on say an 86' 4 runner?
-Is there a difference in the wheelbases between any years?
-Anyone have any photo's of a 4runner with 33's?
Thanks!

Most of the 1st gen (84-89) had the same wheelbases. The 84-85 are the most desireable because of the solid front axle, but hard to find anywhere. With an 86 you should be able to fit the 33-10.5 with no problem on the stock wheels (someone correct me if I am wrong, I think I am getting my gens mixed up). You would probably get about 14-17 MPG with stock gearing on 33s.
