SAS question on how it rides.
Okay so im thinking about doing an sas swap but i use the truck for everyday driving and towing, will doing an sas swap be a good idea to do? and how will it efect the ride of the truck?

If SAS makes it anything like my stock 83, it will ride like a tank, compared to IFS. But there are still some trucks out there being built stock with SFA, so clearly they are fine for any use. Just a much more rough ride.

my 85 4runner rides a bit on the ruff side , I have new blist 4500 shocks on there to, but my springs are original and there flat , so im sure if I got new springs it would ride better

That being said, the leaf swapped trucks I've ridden in have all been about on par with IFS, at least, early, POS torsion bar IFS. My IFS truck rode like a brick, and I did every mod short of a LT kit with CO's. But yeah, if you are used to a torsion bar IFS ride, you will be fine with leaf springs.

I imagine new leaf springs makes a huge difference.
However the 'stock' independent axle truck rides smoother compared to it's predecessor solid axle truck. Hands down.
In my opinion, the solid axle rides like a truck. IFS rides like a car.
I have just swapped from a solid axle DD to independent and I love it.
What about spring arc? Taller springs harsher ride...

I think mine rides as good as if not better then my IFS until you go off road then you will feel a difference but off road it will get you way farther then the IFS
