need to replace shockabsorber?

Hi, I have a 4runner 1995 4x2 automatic, mount a 2-inch rear lift kit block, but I leave the factory rear shock absorber, and I feel it a bit rigid, my question is do I have to replace the shock absorbers for a longer ones, and if Does anyone know what I should do, thanks

1995 is a second generation with coil overs. I'm not familiar with the lift options but I would say the ride is stiff because you changed the fore/aft balances. Does the shock pass through the lift block or mount to it. If it passes through then the shock is likely maxing out on the internal stops.
