Help! Truck caught fire!
Hello, new to yotatech,
My 4runner had caught fire on the way out to the bush, i noticed there was more smoke in the cab from just a cigar. I pulled over and realised something was on fire.. I took off the driverside rear panel and my wiper module had a foot tall flame coming off of it, i got the fire out thanks to a vehicle passing by that had a fire extinguisher.
The whole module was fried, and the connector to the module had also taken some damage and melted the corner of the connector, and i did a bit of research and that module only controls the rear window wiper.. Prior to this incident though my rear wiper would not turn off and my rear window had kept going down by itself and would not engage back up.
Do i have a severe short somewhere? The tailgate issue i can solve by wiring in my own relay/switch but how do i get my Front wipers to work again? I am a noob at these 4runners and need assistance.
