Few questions for a first time owner
ok i'm new to the toyota world, but i am very mechanical. i just have a few questions and have not found a whole lot of answers. i have a 94 x-cab 22re 5 speed 4x4
1. is the ifs worth keeping? it is my daily driver but i want to put 35's on it.
2. what gears would i need to go with 35's?
3. how hard is the solid axle swap?
any help on these questions would be greatly appreciated like the title says i am a first time toyota owner but this is not my first 4x4

I currently get about 18mpg. My truck is an 85 xtra cab 2wd converted to 4wd with a stock reman. 22re and 5spd transmission.
I have a lock right locker in the front axle and a full detroit out back.

i have owned a solid axle truck before it was just a bronco and it was already done before i bought it, i didnt know what i was really buying at the time then i sold it and when to sports cars and now im where i need a truck and im starting a build of my own and im used to the power of a v8 so compensating with gearing and lifts is not my specialty

I converted a 2wd truck to 4wd so I had to cut out all the IFS junk and throw in a solid axle.
I bought complete 3rd members from Marlin Crawler. They come all set up with the gears and lockers installed. All you have to do is put them in your axle housing.
The gears are Yukon brand.
