AC belt tensioner?

1991 toy v-6 3.0L I noticed that the ac belt was discontinued. I am trying to sell the truck, so I at least want to have the belt on it for the new owner to troubleshoot the AC. I believe that the old belt was simply cut off and I need to loosen the tensioning mechanism to get the new belt on. do I loosen the small Idler pulley that's hanging there? if so, do I loosen the front of the pulley? The back of the pulley? Or is there another tensioning device and it's not the pulley at all? Thanks

You loosen both, The back one just a bit and then tention the belt and tighen the back bolt back up.

Dont over tention.

Red face

If the belt was cutoff it was no doubt for a good reason.

Might be easier to just leave it off.

unless you plan to say the Ac works great!!
